Understanding very much that there is limited time for FOSS to begin with, it would be awesome to see this bundled for Start9 (https://docs.start9.com/0.3.5.x/developer-docs/packaging)

Hi !

It's planned and ideally, someone more familiar with StartOS (which I only know by name), could do the wrapper

But first, in order to do that, I need to make the parser be able to parse the chain without having to shut down the node (which would be very annoying for people relying on it running)

@drgarlic give me a ping when shutting down bitcoin core is not needed anymore. I created several StartOS wrappers and can probably help with this.
As you said, stopping the node is a show-stopper for now.

@remcoros Just pushed an update ! Satonomics now requires bitcoind to run

Though, I suspect there might be more things to change to be able to be ran on StartOS but it's huge milestone nonetheless

That's awesome!

Would it be possible for you to add Dockerfile(s) / docker-compose, to make building/running this locally without installing the dev dependencies on a local machine?

That would make it much easier for me to transform it to a startos package most likely.

I'm not really familiar with Docker but I'll try and will come back to you once I have something working 👍
