netmiko for ServerTech PDUs and Avocent KVMs?

We have a bunch of ssh-enabled Avocent KVMs and ServerTech PDUs that we would like to use with netmiko if possible. I looked through the Support Platforms list (https://github.com/ktbyers/netmiko/blob/develop/PLATFORMS.md) and didn't have any luck finding anything that seems like a match. I also tried using the linux device type and this didn't seem to work. Has anyone tried to use nemiko with these device types before and if so were you able to get them working? Thanks!

@WPoole Have you tried using the generic driver. I would see if that driver works (or not).

Basically, generic driver tries to establish an SSH connection, but doesn't do additional things post connection.
