Potential additions to community components #96
Description
I propose to contribute below items to community components:
- Cluster management by API - add ability to setup AlertsManager Rules (for user-mla) via api
- A set of standard Alerts - which could be useful for all user-clusters
- Custom ArgoCD image (which uses git-crypt enabled git) and thus can work with Git-crypt enabled git repos
- Minio operator helm chart - which can replace our default minio installation requirement with flexible minio installation where you can add extra capacity as needed
- Public Cloud Blob storage usage configuration examples instead of minio for thanos, backup, loki, etc. This is better as it is cost optimized and there is no storage exhaustion
- Production grade Harbor registry setup
- kubeflow (nvdia GPU operator support)
- ArgoCD Apps definition to tackle installation of all the components in KKP - from nginx-ingress-controller to user-mla and
ApplicationInstallationobjects. Not much need to runkubermatic_installer - Helpful alerts like Thanos compact halted, Node-machine mismatch, Heartbeat
- Blackbox exporter integration with user-cluster mla (to run blackbox exporter in user-cluster and get data in user-cluster mla grafana and alerts)
- Custom CA-Certs requirements for various components - like velero
- How to configure grafana to connect to thanos and Loki as DataStore via configuration
- Alerta Configuration to receive alerts from Alertmanager
- Loki configuration which uses compactor. by default no compaction is on in loki configuration (this is now also added in default KKP loki config values.yaml so not sure if we need it here)
