I'm revisiting langflow after a 9 month hiatus. General stability has improved 😄 Net level of frustration still quite high 😒
I'm playing around with the desktop version, 100% local processing (LM studio backend for LLM power). It's a reasonable machine, but because it's all local, I think I'm hitting timeouts. I'm consistently getting
Error Building Component Network error. Please check the connection to the server.reported in langflow when I have more than one agent in a flow.I also get this in the LM studio logs at the same time:
2025-08-23 22:41:07 [INFO] [LM STUDIO SERVER] Client disconnected. Stopping generation... (If the model is busy processing the prompt, it will finish first.) 2025-08-23 22:41:07 [DEBUG] [CacheWrapper][INFO] Prompt processing was cancelled by the user.I did not manually cancel the flow.
Is there a way to configure and change global timeout settings?
I have no idea where in the GUI I can access ANY controls for things like timeouts - it doesn't look like they're handled by the components themselves, so it must be something at the environment level. Sure as heck can't find where to fiddle with that in the desktop edition, and I really don't want to pull the code and build containers from scratch either - the whole point of coming back to langflow was to see if I could avoid needing to do that. But if I'm going to sink time into "real" development, I'm going to choose a more production-grade framework.
I really hope there's any easy fix and I'm just complaining with no justification.
