If you are encountering this error it is due to not importing the driver properly.

Can you guys include the use statement in the documentation us who keep forgetting?

use NotificationChannels\FortySixElks\FortySixElksChannel;

Also the import statements for those creating their own NotificationChannel that uses yours eg:
use NotificationChannels\FortySixElks\FortySixElksSMS;
