Considering that these two PRs: #636 #651 work well with editors other than Emacs, @scohen if you don't mind, I would like to set this as the part of goal for version 0.6.

0.6 is right around the corner, after we merge #708 and #704 --this isn't going in, it's too big of a change.

Target 0.7 instead.
