(NX/Switch) Core crashes Retroarch to Atmosphere "software has closed because an error occurred"

Issue is as stated. The core doesn't work, tried several versions of the core and Retroarch for Switch to no avail. Default settings, freshly installed and all. Latest Hekate, Atmosphere, Sigpatches, and emunand firmware (12.1.0)
