I switched to Pale Moon myself few days ago and had the same issue. I found a workaround for this from http://anago.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/software/1416154819/896
I had to extract the extension and modify chrome.manifest file by replacing all four instances (lines 10-13) of ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384 with 8de7fcbb-c55c-4fbe-bfc5-fc555c87dbc4 as well as remove the META-INF folder. After zipping it back together and replacing the .zip extension with .xpi I placed it back to extensions folder and it worked. NicoFox is now in View drop-down menu as well as on status bar. Tried it with 1.0b6pre and 1.0.1. http://i.imgur.com/sTsvCCc.png
I'm not sure if there are any consequences for doing it this way, like breaking some other feature or something but it seems to be fine and I can download videos with comments as I did on Firefox.
the icon, normally found in the bottom left of the status bar, is missing in pale moon.
yes, I went into customize to place it but it wasn't there or anywhere.
the pale moon team says that this is not them.
