Type inference with useFieldValue

I'm working with Vue 3, vee-validate 4.x, Yup, and TypeScript. I've noticed that when using useFieldValue, TypeScript doesn't seem to infer the type based on the Yup schema defined.
Is there a way to make TypeScript infer the type from the Yup schema when using useFieldValue ?

Here's a minimal example:

import { useForm, useField, useFieldValue } from "vee-validate";
import { toTypedSchema } from "@vee-validate/yup";
import { object, string } from "yup";

// Define the validation schema
const schema = object().shape({
   field: string().required().defined(),
});

// Initialize the form
const { values } = useForm({
   validationSchema: toTypedSchema(schema),
});

// This works, but requires using typeof
const formInputs = {
   field: useField<(typeof values)["field"]>("field"),
};

// In a child component or elsewhere
const fieldValue = useFieldValue("field");
// typeof fieldValue.value is unknown, not string
