Possibility for a pure python wheel?

I was hoping to use the package in a data donation project using the port/feldspar framework, which is based on pyodide/micropip. That, however, means I can only use packages using a pure python wheel. Is there any way to support micropip?

I am dont have much capacity at the moment, but I am keen on supporting more frameworks.

Do you think you could give a try an open a PR? I can look into it then.
