Problem installing actual release 0.8.156 on EPS32-S3 in Web interface

Hi all,
i have running ahoidtu 0.8.154 (and had former releases) on EPS32-S3.
Actual loaded file is: 250305_ahoy_0.8.154_c2e5d09_opendtufusion-de.bin
I wanted to update to version 0.8.156 by loading file 250812_ahoy_0.8.156_c4fe30f_opendtufusion-de.bin
Selecting the file on my disk (as done for all former versions) and starting the update the update seemed to start,
but - also after restarting after some minutes - the web interface showed the v0.8.154

Any Idea why the version does not install?

Hi KSNWH , i have the same problem with my 2 esp8266.
After choose the correct file 250812_ahoy_0.8.156_c4fe30f_esp8266-de.bin and start the update process , nothing. No new message for a long long time. After a restart the old version v0.8.155 is active.
The same with 2 ahoydtu ! I think there is a general problem with OTA update.

My first attempts to upgrade failed too.
With my normal Firefox-Browser on my Linux-System Update failed (it never finished and there was no network traffic an update would cause) but when doing the same thing with chromium browser update succeeded instantly..maybe try other browser/device for the update to 0.8.156!?..

Hi huaak, very good idea :-) Yes , update with chrome browser successful and without any problems here too . THank you. But i don`t know why it works not with firefox ! All updates in the past with firefox are fine.

Maybe it is the state of the moon which prevents Firefox or something strange!?..but nice that the chromium worked for you too..

Right, perhaps ....! But i think a little error message or warning is helpful during try the update with firefox. But ok, your idea was good :-)

Just for your info: I tried the update from ahoy_0.8.154 on Win10 system.
Neither Firefox nor Chrome succeeded to update to ahoy_0.8.155 nor to ahoy_0.8.156

Sorry if that doesn't work for you..had few times problems with older images too, but I could solve those repositioning the ESP (temporary) a few cm to get a better WIFI-connection. If nothing else works, maybe backup your settings and install via USB-Cable and PC

Suppose the WiFi Connection is not the problem, as I log the data every minute to a Linux database without any problems.

I had also "proper" connection to receive data, but to update much more data need to be sent to esp and therefore a stable wifi connect is needed (not just few kb for some ms to transfer some power data)..give it a try!
