Some menus overflow beyond the screen limits in Sway

App menus in the taskbar overflow and are almost completely invisible:

I don't think to have seen that when I tested sway (when support was added for it).

But I can confirm it, both for sway and scroll (sway-based). It looks like the combination of Qt and sway is the issue, xfce4-panel doesn't have this issuem and also no other compositor we support has it. It maybe a change in qt-wayland.

What distro are you using?

I don't think it can be done anything from our side but has to be reported and fixed by sway.
Didn't find anything searching the issues on sway.
Leaving it open atm.

There's no code difference in positioning menus/popups for different Wayland compositors. So, this difference can only be caused by Sway+Qt, which doesn't mean that the problem is necessarily in Sway itself — other tiling compositors may have circumvented it somehow, and we know that Qt has an issue in bottom/right popups under Wayland — but LXQt can't do anything about it.

What distro are you using?

I'm using fedora 43 beta, but this was also present in fedora 42.
