All feeds mark as read after a few minutes

When going through my feeds, after about 5 minutes all feeds suddenly mark themselves as read and I lose all my undread items. This happens every day and is frustrating enough that I'm thinking of moving to a different rss reader to avoid it.

Are you using a phone or tablet? Do you switch modes ever (like to list mode, or with/without the nav sidebar)? How many unread items do you have when this happens?

Also, do you have "mark as read on scroll" enabled?

Not using phone or tablet, this is only on laptop/desktop using Chrome. I never switch modes. Always have the nav sidebar on. I navigate through items using the "n" shortcut to jump to new posts. Usually have 100-300 new items. I do have "mark as read on scroll" enabled

I did notice today that when this happened the scrollbar for the feeds was all the way at the bottom (even though I had 20-30 items remaining unread). Everything marked as read and then the scroll bar moved up as if it had just loaded the remaining items. It may have something to do with getting to the bottom of the scroll bar.

If this happens when your window is less than 768 pixels wide (when goread switches to a more compact/collapsed interface) then this may have been fixed with #268.

I think this is a separate issue. I just noticed that goread marked (over 500) items as read. I couldn't figure out why this happened yet but it obviously its not the old issue.

@kasbah What OS and browser were you on? If on a phone or table, did you do anything close to rotating your device or changing the size of something? Did you click on something or did it appear to happen without user input?

No, this is was on Firefox (35.0.1) on Ubuntu (14.04), my screen size is 1280x800px and Firefox was full screen. I just switched tabs or windows or something to look at something else and when I returned to goread everything had been marked as read. I'll try and keep and eye on it to see if I can get any more info.

Looks like this can happen now (but won't necessarily happen) when moving from collapsed to expanded view through resizing the window. Not sure if this is the same bug as OP. I think I am more affected by these bugs because I use a tiling window manager which resizes windows very quickly.

I experimented a little again today. It seems like this happens because the items are not fully expanded yet when you switch modes so they are marked as read.
