Instructions unclear

Hi,

I want to set this up, but the instructions / prerequisites are a bit unclear. Do I need my own webserver in order for this to work? Do I use wildcard IPs or a single IP? How do I 'securely store the API context details'? How many transactions will it import the first time you set it up? 

Would help a lot if this was explained a bit better & lower level. Thanks!
