How do I figure out what's going wrong with a specific feed to report a bug?

I wanted to add Xe Iaso's blog (the creator of Anubis) to my feeds, but it appears that rssguard can't read the RSS (https://xeiaso.net/blog.rss) or the JSON (https://xeiaso.net/blog.json) feed. I tried looking at the logs but all it told me was XML problem: error occurred while parsing element. I did test it in Akregator just to make sure the feed was in fact not malformed.

Ah, I did realize I am on a slightly older version, 4.5.3 to be exact. I'm on NixOS stable and running Qt apps from unstable is currently impossible because Qt base updated and the way Qt apps load plugins. Can anyone confirm if this is still a problem?
