plugin directory not persistant or wrong path

The plugin pvc is mounted to ./client/plugins but mattermost uses the ~/plugins directory after restart as all plugins disappear after upgrade.

MM_PLUGINSETTINGS_CLIENTDIRECTORY : ./client/plugins seems not to work and is not mentioned anywhere in the documentation.
