I'm requesting improvements and customization options for the budget display on the Maybe dashboard.
Problem
The current dashboard lacks flexibility and depth in presenting budget information. Users can't tailor the displayed content to their needs, which makes quickly understanding their financial situation less intuitive.
Proposed Features
Customizable Account Display for Expense/Income Charts:
Allow users to select specific accounts (e.g., only bank accounts, credit cards, or particular investment accounts) for which data is displayed in the dashboard's expense and income charts.
Provide bar chart visualizations for expenses and income, capable of showing trends over "N" custom-defined days. These charts should use different colors to distinguish between various categories or transaction types, offering a more detailed and intuitive analysis of spending/earning.
Budget Variance Display Options:
Add options within the dashboard's expense or income sections to display:
Remaining Budget: Clearly show the remaining budget amount for each category or overall.
Daily/Monthly Budget Variance: Display the current daily or monthly expense/income difference compared to the budget. This would help users understand their budget adherence in real time.
Benefits
These enhancements would significantly improve the dashboard's utility and user experience, enabling users to:
Customize their financial overview according to individual needs.
Gain deeper, more intuitive insights into spending and income patterns.
Track budget performance in real-time and make more informed financial decisions.
Thank you, Maybe team, for your hard work and responsiveness to user feedback!
