Cannot search for items protected by RBAC #1321

Description

Describe the issue
When RBAC is enabled, you cannot search for videos that are protected by RBAC controls.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Setup a new deployment using Docker.
  2. Follow instructions for enabling RBAC.
  3. Add a video and protect it with a category, while also adding some tags.
  4. Search for the video name or tags and you cannot find it. The only way to currently find the video is if you uploaded it you can see it in my media, or if you didn't then the only way is to see it is in the category list you protected the video with.

Expected behavior
I would expect that if you have access to a video through RBAC, the video should show up everywhere a normal video would (searching for videos, searching for tags, etc.). This does not seem to be the case and seems like either a bug or oversight. Is this truly expected behavior?

Screenshots
If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem.

Environment (please complete the following information):

  • OS: MacOS 15.5
  • Installation method: Docker
  • Browser, if applicable: Chrome

Additional context
One other bug that seems to be related to RBAC (or just categories in general) is after I added some videos to a category and then removed them, my category still had 1 media as listed as part of the category on the category page. When I clicked on the category, no videos were displayed (because I had removed them from the category). It should have reported 0 items, not 1.
