Hidden/Invisible/Nil Node as Input/Output/Branch?

Hi folks 👋 I was wondering if there's any way to hide (or make invisible, or resize to zero) a node so that it can serve as an empty input, output or simply a branch node that doesn't need specific text or shape in a graph? Below is an illustration of what I can come up with but apparently the edges are not connected for some reason.
