Approvals box / legend / notes?

Hello!

I use mermaid to make architecture diagrams for our company's software workflow.

Our auditors don't want to accept the rendered diagrams because they don't show any evidence of approval/workflow/date-and-time.

Does anyone else fight with this kind of rigmarole in their organizations and any good ways to implement this? I fear this is going to be a "insert an approvals box into the pdf after the fact" situation but figured I'd ask if there's any novel solutions here.
