Description

Hereby I want to discuss a feature which allows the meshtastic node to communicate with a VL53L... ToF sensor and send a message to a preconfigured channel once the ToF distance changes by some amount, allowing a node to be used like a tripwire.

Additionally, the "alarm" could also be triggered by something like a BMA400 accelerometer, allowing the node to be placed on something like a door.

All in all a cheap meshtastic node could be used as a tripwire or house alarm or something.
