Description

@sbello

MP term impaired gastric peristalsis has the exact synonym gastroparesis

The HP term is defined as "Decreased strength of the muscle layer of stomach, which leads to a decreased ability to empty the contents of the stomach despite the absence of obstruction."

The MP term is defined as "an increase in the time required for solids or liquids to leave the stomach and enter the intestines"

https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/15522-gastroparesis - states the cause may be dysfunction of nerve or muscle or both
https://gi.org/topics/gastroparesis/

I think the HP definition is overly narrow

HP eq is has partbfosome(decreased strengthpatoandcharacteristic ofrosomestomach muscularis externauberonandhas modifierrosomeabnormalpato)

MP eq is has partbfosome(delayedpatoandcharacteristic ofrosomegastric emptyinggoandhas modifierrosomeabnormalpato)

I prefer the MP definition
