Description

Description

After adjusting dock size in Dash-to-Dock settings, the changes are correctly applied while the settings window is open. However, once the settings window is closed, the dock immediately reverts to a different size — ignoring the configured values.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Dash-to-Dock settings.
  2. Change dock size parameters (e.g., icon size, height, shrink setting).
  3. Dock updates correctly.
  4. Close settings window.
  5. Dock resizes unexpectedly.

Expected Behavior

Dock should retain the customized size after settings are applied and the settings window is closed.

Actual Behavior

Dock reverts to a smaller or default size after settings are closed, suggesting settings are either not saved or are overridden.

Environment

  • GNOME Shell 46.0
  • Ubuntu 24.04
  • Default Ubuntu Dock disabled
  • Dash-to-Dock installed manually (not via Ubuntu package)

Notes

  • GNOME Shell is not restarted during test.
  • No other extensions known to interfere.
  • Behavior is consistent and reproducible.
