How to change direction? (direction="LR" does not work...)

I have this code:

and it's supposed to be in horizontal orientation. But it's generated vertically:

how to force "LR" then?
and another question: if i want to have one vertical schema and one horizontal in one diagram. Is it possible to implement?

Same question here, I have the same issue, I can't manage to have an horizontal layout, even when using the direction="LR" argument.

you have to connect your nodes with - , >>, or <<. Otherwise, graphviz will just stack the nodes at the same level.
So, pipeline1 - pipeline2
