Is there a way to make <x-wikilinks> function as hyperlinks?

Thank you for all your work on md4c. I love it.

I'm curious about rendering wikilinks in HTML. Is there a way to make function as hyperlinks? Can this be done without JavaScript? Or is it just a case of modifying the HTML?

Actually is this just better for me to patch/build locally? Seems like a straightforward substitution.
