Otherwise people are wasting their time with creating PRs which won't merged anyway.

IMHO people might rather should use this fork, since it also contains fixes for the open table issues (#19 & #3).

If people would directly know that they should rather use maintained forks, they obviously won't be forced to migrate afterwards.

Updating the readme to link the working plugin fork https://github.com/laurent22/joplin/tree/dev/packages/turndown-plugin-gfm would really help a lot. Would have saved me 1-2 h of bug-searching/fixing
