mj-carousel thumbnails show even if their click/hover functionality doesn't work #2999

Describe the bug
The thumbnails for mj-carousel will show regardless of whether the click/hover functionality works or not on some clients.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
The carousel demo in the documentation exhibits this behaviour: https://mjml.io/try-it-live/components/carousel
Expected behavior
The thumbnails should not show if they is no functionality

Examples where thumbnails are shown and don't work are
- Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo Apps (iOS/Android)
- Outlook.com
Clients that function correctly are:
- Apple Mail (iOS/macOS) / Outlook (macOS) - carousel has full functionality
- Gmail/Yahoo (macOS) - thumbnails show and the hover functionality works
- Outlook (Windows) - thumbnails do not show
