This is NOT an issue with moby/sys, but a way to track how users are switched to moby/sys/capability.

Long story short, the github.com/moby/sys/capability package is a fork
of the original one (github.com/syndtr/gocapability), which is apparently
no longer maintained. For the changes since the fork took place, see
https://github.com/moby/sys/blob/main/capability/CHANGELOG.md.

hi gvisor dev here, I will take this migration for gVisor.

google/gvisor#11556 will track the progress

tomponline added a commit to canonical/lxd that referenced this issue Mar 17, 2025
The github.com/moby/sys/capability package is a fork of the original
one, which is apparently no longer maintained.

For changes since the fork took place, see
https://github.com/moby/sys/blob/main/capability/CHANGELOG.md

(The indirect dependency still remains because of runtime-tools; this is
being fixed in
opencontainers/runtime-tools#777).
