Request for releasing the new version for Ruby 3.4 support

Hi 👋

We are working on upgrading our application's ruby version from 3.3 to 3.4, and then noticed there is no new version of mongo-ruby-driver is released that supports Ruby 3.4.

I am aware that the fix for Ruby 3.4 is already merged into master branch. When will it be released to rubygems?

Hello @kyontan -- the next release of the driver is still some time away, yet. However, the commit you indicate doesn't actually make any functional changes to the driver--it fixes some tests that failed under 3.4, and adds CI support, so the current version of the driver (2.21.0) should work fine under Ruby 3.4.

Still, we won't officially support Ruby 3.4 until 2.22.0, which still has a few blocking issues that we need to make time to address. I'm afraid I can't make any promises about when that will happen.

Thanks for the quick response. I am relieved to hear that the current version (2.21.0) should be compatible to Ruby 3.4, we would like to try with the current version.

FYI: The base64 gem is one of the exception. In Ruby 3.4, the base64 is extracted as bundled gem so we need to manually install base64 gem until the 2.22.0 release.
