Feedback from IANA #60
Description
Dear Authors,
Before the IETF meeting, we check working group agendas for documents with IANA-related issues. A question about the current version of this document:
Should the new registries be added to an existing registry group like “QUIC” (at https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.iana.org/assignments/quic__;!!GjvTz_vk!UDiIapP6JF2wuoJe1n7lmSjTOZq_IsOjjoYYTLn1d0dfy-gwzXpaGbX1M8IBMOUersbQc9BIJrCY_TgIt-XSTRQ$ ), or should IANA create a new registry group with a name like “Media over QUIC (MOQ)”? (I have no idea whether this is actually an appropriate name.)
This could be addressed by making a change like this:
OLD: This document creates a new registry, "MoQ Streaming Format Type”’ in Section 5.1
NEW: This document creates a new registry called "MoQ Streaming Format Types" in a new “Media over QUIC (MoQ)” registry group.
OR: This document creates a new registry called "MoQ Streaming Format Types" and adds it to the "foo” registry group.
Also, about the reference field in Section 5.1: we would ordinarily expect to list the document that creates the registry (or that reserves the codepoint) in that field.
