spaCy blank popup after clicking on install

Anki: Version ⁨25.09.2 (3890e12c)⁩ Python 3.13.7 Qt 6.10.0 Chromium 134

After accessing Tools > AnkiMorphs > spaCy Manager this windows shows up:

After clicking on "Install spaCy" and than "Yes" I get this blank popup.

I'm not sure what is happening here and why I can't install spaCy

Try running anki from a terminal and see if there are any error messages when doing this

I run it from terminal and no error message is shown, the following is what is printed after the start of the application:

This warning does not show up for me, so that is probably the problem. Did you try the potential fixes that are in the linked github issue?

In the linked issue is marked as solution a link to the pip_system_certs module. I don't know if should I install it and on which python environment install this module.

The spacy installation is a very basic command line wrapper:

I don't know how comfortable you are with coding, but if you uncomment this line:

Using 'yay -S anki' lead to some compilation errors than I installed this version here which led to the issues above. By manually installing anki from the tar in the release page of the official site it seems that the issue is gone and I was able to install spaCy

Nice. I'll keep this issue open until I get back home in a month, and then I'll fix the text in the error popup.
