Package is not included in the Pyinstaller output directory

When creating an executable with PyInstaller, aio_pika starting with version 9.5.0 is not included in the output directory, even if the project depends on aio_pika.

I think 001dcce#diff-64b7cf25f8a1c81c96f634498359cfe50235e8826c98fe739dabdae5aca5ac4aL16 this is the commit that introduced this behaviour since reverting it makes things work again

I don't know the specifics of pyinstaller's behavior, but that commit doesn't have anything directly related to packaging. My hypothesis is that these lines cause an exception at import time inside the pyinstaller environment.

Could you please check this?

I had experienced a similar issue, here is the output of the pyinstaller executable:

The fix I found was to add these lines to .spec file:

I think using metadata to get the version in a package is a really good way, it makes it easy to single source the version.

What do you think about including a hook integration like these examples:
