Use of plugin without sample data possible?

Dear developers,

I'm trying to use the QGIS plugin for NGSI-LD context brokers in my own project. Unfortunally, the plugin does nothing after installation. I did not install the sample context broker since I like to use it with a separate one.

Is this plugin a PoC and depends on the sample data from the City of Vienna (Hydranten, Trinkbrunnen, Schwimmbäder) or can it be used with a separate context broker?

If it is a PoC, is there any roadmap to make this plugin generic?

If it is generic, is there any documentation on how to configure the plugin accordingly?
