Move api.md from Wiki to the mod repo

I hereby would like to request moving the api.md file from the wiki to the repo.

Wiki entries are GitHub-specific, thus not portable or accessible within git checkouts.
This also means that grep'ing for function names yields no documentation results. Modders first need to check the wiki, which might not be obvious.

not opposed to putting the documentation in the repo, just all the given reasons are nonsense

Oh I see. In that case it might've just been me who isn't used to wikis. Do developers generally clone both repositories?

everyone's flow is different.

the one actual advantage to moving the documentation in repo, its own repo, etc is that then prs can be made to it. alternatively there is a setting to let anyone with an account edit it, but rather not do that.

For Luanti mods I expect the docs to be in the repo itself. A link to an external wiki in the readme is slightly better than nothing.
Mostly I have the repo cloned and when the docs are within it, I can work offline with all the resources I need.
+1 to this idea.
