Support/explain how to disable initial TTY read for automated testing #87

In the context of cockroachdb/cockroach#86457
I found that our unit tests using Expect were getting confused by the initial termenv read.

We need to disable that somehow.

@muesli taught me privately about the special env var CI but this needs to be documented/extended into a fully fledged feature.
