Best way to run this locally?

I want to add a config setting to hide the jet mode toggle for Airconditioning but don't know what is the best way to run this locally. I made a fork on my own GitHub.

anyone who finds the same problem
add .homebridge/config.json file to your user folder.
run npm run watch
add homebridge to your home app
