Octopus Energy - Flux Tariffs Work Mode Automation

The following HA Automation may be useful for anyone on the same tariff. During the Peak the import and export rates are high, so rather than charge the battery you are better off exporting any surplus.

Hopefully I've remembered everything!

You will need to set up 4x Time helpers:
Flux Eco Start
Flux Eco End
Flux Peak Start
Flux Peak End

and 6x Utility Meters:
Electricity Export eco
Electricity Export day
Electricity Export peak
Electricity Import eco
Electricity Import day
Electricity Import peak

Automation - copy and paste this into the new automation in step 3 from the article:

it's all good. I did this after moving to Octo Flux, it's been running for ~2 weeks with no problems. I was going to ask if it's something the integration could handle directly, or maybe EM, but how many time periods do you put in? Trying to think about it being more flexible rather than having features just for a single (experimental) tariff from one supplier.

Hi,

I've set this up myself and something doesn't seem right. When my batteries charge overnight during the eco phase the graph reports that for 02:00-03:00 3.47kWh goes into my battery but I'm only taking 0.47kWh from the grid. That doesn't seem right does it ?

This is when I've configured the energy dashboard as follows:

The 'electricity import eco' Utility meter shows the value going up to about 3.9kWh between 2-3am and up to around 6kWh by 4am.

Have I set something up wrong ?

I've checked the tariff selector and it appears to be changing at the right times.
