Hi all,
I'm hoping for some guidance connecting my inverter via modbus using the waveshare POE adapter. I'm receiving the following error when using the Homeassistant setup.
Error connecting to your adapter or inverter. Ensure the adapter is properly configured and is correctly wired to your inverter (see the setup link above), then try again. Details: Modbus Error: [Input/Output] Modbus Error: [Invalid Message] No response received, expected at least 8 bytes (0 received)
I'm using the following settings.
The IP and port seem correct as trying a different IP gives a connection timeout and a different port gives connection refused. I've also verified the adapter IP address in my network router UI. With the IP and port set the adapter flashes blue before I see the error above. The only thing I can think of is I am missing some settings when using the web interface but I don't have a windows machine for the alternative method.
I have the KH10.5 inverter and it has a 16 pin connector. I've double checked the inverter connections and have a single twisted pair from some cat 5 wired according to the wiring guidelines at https://github.com/nathanmarlor/foxess_modbus/wiki/RS485-Wiring-Guidelines
Any ideas where I can go next?
Thanks!
