You need to install a dedicated Modbus adapter; you can't use the fox lan module sadly. |

Hi
I have a KH8 inverter and my installer fitted a L3 LAN adapter which is being used to report to the Fox cloud. I have now setup a HA enviroment on my RaspberryPI and am trying to install the FOXESS MODBUS and configure access, but i'm stuck!
I'm not sure which config to select Direct LAN Connection, USB to RS485 Adapter or Ethernet to Modbus/RS485 Adapter
and then what coniguration settings to use.
i know the IP address of the adapter, by checking my routers management page, but i don't know what port number its using.
From how the device identifies itself in my router i know the Fox are using a W5500S2E-Z1 https://docs.wiznet.io/Product/S2E-Module/W5500S2E-Z1 i've tried setting it up using Ethernet to Modbus/RS485 Adapter and then choosing other, but i don't know port number or he inverter slave id. I did google the default port number for the W5500 which is 4001 and used the default slave ID of 247 but i get the connection refused error message error message.
Can anyone help with what settings i should be using.
Thanks
