Modbus Connection to H1G2 inverter with Elfin EW11 #931
-
Hi all I think I've followed all the relevant instructions to wire the EW11 adapter to the inverter. I have configured the adapter and can see it on my network. However in Home Assistant I get the error below when trying to add integration
A search came up with a response from FozzieUK to run modpoll.exe which gave me:
and a ping of the ip got replies. At this point I don't know if it's an issue with the adapter / wiring, or within HA. My inverter H1-5.0-E-G2, with following firmware (from foxesscloud/v2) Thanks for any help you can give, and let me know if any additional info required. |

It looks like you are talking to the EW11 but there is no response from the inverter - as always double check all of your settings to make sure the device is configured for modbus protocol and on port 502. Also check in your inverter settings that the RS485 slaveID is set to 247. But most common thing is that the wiring is wrong or there is a bad connection, you should be connected to RS485A to A on the EW11 and RS485B to B. |

And I document this for all those who may follow installing to an H1 G2 with 16 pin connector....
The image within the wiki documentation shows the underside of the connection, as seen without the wires, with the connector pins numbered right to left.
So that when you turn the connector over, the orange pin numbers should be read left to right.
A photo view of the connector would be helpful, but note this is with the connectors (g…
