It is a little annoying to see the previous day's wallpaper for ~6 minutes when you first sign into GNOME. A feature where it checks on login/startup would help make it feel more seamless.

This delay is deliberate to not interfere with GNOME shell (and other application) start up. Refresh should trigger 1 minute after the extension startup. It could be made configurable (relatively easily), but might cause problems if it's set too low.
