Hey folks! One of the new features we have planned for NetBox v3.1 is wireless network modeling (#3979). Because this is such a broad, complex topic, we're trying something new to help flesh out the data model: a community working group.
We're looking for volunteers with a wealth of wireless expertise to join this group and provide feedback on proposed implementations for bringing wireless networking support to NetBox. Participants will review and discuss potential designs on a semi-private mailing list over the course of several weeks until a consensus is reached. Then, the NetBox maintainers will implement the agreed-upon model in NetBox v3.1.
This is a great opportunity to get involved with NetBox development even if you don't have any software development experience. Just complete the volunteer survey to let us know you'd like to participate. Group membership will be limited to a couple dozen participants to help keep the discussion focused, so be sure to sign up soon!
