2021 was a huge year for NetBox, most notably with the release of v3.0 and securing permanent backing by NS1. Here's a quick look at some statistics from the past year.
*GitHub discussions were introduced in December 2020
While the pace of releases has remained fairly steady, you can see from the issue counts that development has ramped up enormously over the past year! Since moving to NS1 in April, I've been able to spend far more time working on NetBox and we've knocked out a ton of new features across three major releases. And the NetBox community has continued to grow rapidly as well, with over 2,200 new stars on GitHub - 51% more than were added in 2020.
And this year promises to be even bigger for NetBox. We've got some really exciting new milestones on our roadmap, and work on v3.2 is already well underway. Here at NS1, we're ramping up investment both in the open source NetBox project as well as NetBox Cloud and other commercial initiatives. Keep an eye out for additional news coming early this year as we continue to build our team.
What are you most looking forward to in 2022?
