Hi all. Earlier today I moved my Nextcloud instance to a more powerful server by backing up using the BorgBackup solution to an ssh repo, and restoring the backup to the new server as outlined in the documentation. My instance is operational and my files restored correctly, however when trying to log into my Vaultwarden instance after the restore was completed, I found my Vaultwarden had been reset to factory defaults, my user was gone and so too were all the passwords I had stored in there, Thankfully I still had a .json export of when I moved from bitwarden to vaultwarden so I have only lost a couple days of history. However this makes me nervous as I am in the process of transitioning to Nextcloud + Vaultwarden fully in order to de-google. Unfortunately, as I only tried the VW login a few hours after I restored, I don't have logs from the restore process to share. I did not get any errors during the restore and as mentioned all my files are in place and the instance is fully working. If someone could advise on how I could find out what went wrong, and crucially how to avoid this in future I would be very grateful. I intend to run another backup and restore that to a test VM this evening to see if Vaultwarden fails to restore again and I will update this thread with the outcome. Many thanks |

Bascically you need to restore the backup a second time in order to trigger the restore gor vaultwaren. Have you already tried to do so?
