Description

Issue : UI crashes (including import preferences)

UI crashes occur repeatedly

Opening the Import last preferences screen causes an immediate and reproducible crash

This prevents recovery or troubleshooting via preference import

Steps to Reproduce

Open Import last preferences

UI crashes, including consistent crash on import preferences screen

(Assuming the phone was working with DASH earlier - if not phone's BT stack may be incompatible with DASH)

The error suggests the phone does not see your DASH pod in BT range.

• Make sure the bonding option for DASH is disabled (it is for Android 15 only)
• in Settings->app->AAPS switch off permissions for Bluetooth. Then force stop/close AAPS, restart Phone and open AAPS - it will ask for BT permissions.

This could be some problem with the install AAPS installation or permissions 🤔
If all fails, make sure you have your preferences exported. Then you can try 3 options:

1. Clean database (under Maintenance)
2. Reset database (under Maintenance, you can afterward resync data back from NS)
3. Uninstall AAPS and double check there is only one AAPS installed, reinstall (and set all permissions and AAPS directory). Import preferences and resync data from NS.

Thank you.
Actually I went beyond Point 3. And installed a Version dated 24.11.25 with preferences dated the day before. Since i had completely new installation and revoked the permissions of every app on the phone. I had to set permissions again as well.
For whatever reason I now believe, that permission of location became obstructed or deactivated for whatever reason.

In the end I could connect another pod and then upgraded to the latest dev 23.12.2025. I will see if problems with the upcoming pod occur as well.

However. AAPS is crashing again.

No crashes for me. Latest dev. Isn't it related to some specific backup?
