Window flickering on resize with iterm2 and nvim open

This window flickering in the video occurs when i resize the terminal window. It only happens with iterm2 with nvim open from what I've discovered so far. I've tried to google for potential issues but I would need some guidance. Does anyone know what could cause this?

I'm facing exactly the same issue, I don't even have to resize the window. It's enough if it gets focus at least once.
