Description
🪲 Description
I created a bootable USB drive (El Capitan) which worked fine, then, I decided to create a newer one, first trying Monterey, which didn't work, then Big Sur (also errors)...
📋 Steps to Reproduce
- Open
Mist.app
- Mist has full disk access.
- Clicked on 'Installer'
- Then 'Monterey - create bootable MacOS installer'
- When it gets to the 4th step in the 'Setup' section, an error box pops up saying "An error has occurred!"
- The rest of the error box says- "Invalid Termination Status:1", followed by- "ditto: Volumes/052-60131/Applications/Install MacOS Monterey.app/contents/ SharedSupport: Operation not permitted"
- I have tried a different USB (first one was 16Gb, second was 32Gb, both formatted as requested, same result.
- Also tried "download and export MacOS Installer" and saving to a folder on the local drive, still get the error, I've tried about 6 times now.
✅ Expected Behaviour
It should continue to create the image on the bootable USB, as it did with the El Capitan version
💻 Environment
- Mist version 0.20.1
- macOS Version Ventura 13.7.4
- Hardware iMac 5k 27" 2017, 24Gb RAM,
- Model Identifier: MODEL_IDENTIFIER
- Chip : Quad Core i5 3.5GHz
📷 Screenshots
*It worked great the first time, and I have managed to update the OS on the machine I was trying to get working again (2017 MB Air) with the bootable El Capitan USB I created, so that's good, but it would have be really nice to have a drive ready to go with Monterey (the newest that the MBA can run). Thanks for your effort, enjoy the coffee. :-)
