Compiling without GPU in Linux

Is it possible to compile it without having a GPU? I am on Debian 13 swaywm/wayland. If it is possible to compile then what are the steps?

GPT4all should work out of the box without a GPU, and without needing to manually compile unless you run into similar issues as in #3613. However, inference will be slow by comparison.
