Why is compressed video size smaller for 1920x1080 vs 1280x720 as per benchmark?

Current behavior

In your benchmark image, you mention that the output video size with a higher origin pixel dimensions will be smaller than with a smaller original video dimensions.
Why is that?
is that a mistake on the benchmark or is it the truth?
