Forgotten Master Password and Admin Password

Hi all,

Tough one here and a bit of a double edged sword. I recently started at an organization and today for whatever reason out syspass decided to start asking for a master password for all users, of course, nobody has a documentation about what it is. In addition, we also don't know the admin password.

Anything we can do here?

You'll need to enter the master password for the first time login.

Try using a temporary password, so that you can share it without exposing the master password

1. Navigate to Settings
2. Click Encryption tab
3. In the temporary password section on the bottom right-hand side, there is an icon that looks like a play button. Click that to generate a password.
4. Password is generated at the bottom of the Temporary Password panel.
5. Share temporary password with user that required master password.
